Knudsen and his echo sounders are used in more than 50 countries around the world. Known being pioneering in the use of the technology in digitized signal processing (DSP), the soundings of Knudsen are used in an ample range of applications, from the water hydro graphic surveying in shallow water until oceanic water scientific researches.
Knudsen Engineering Limited is in the historical city of Perth, Ontario - near Ottawa, the capital of Canada, and also close of many lakes and rivers that act like sites of training and tests of the equipment. Directed from 1981 by the marriage Knudsen, the company grew during those years of a company of production of engineering to being the leader of Market, exporting 90% of its production with 400 facilities around world.
Products Knudsen – Echo sounder for all the applications.
The series Knudsen of Echo sounder 320 is used for precise measurement of depths in a variety of applications, from hydrographic surveyings until oceanographic investigations.

The original 320M - well known and respected for its outstanding performance and longevity in the survey market - now has even more to offer following a complete technology refresh.
The new 320Ms joins the Sounder series of latest Knudsen products for shallow water survey application. Complete with a standard built-in 32 grayscale printer, the new 320Ms also comes equipped with built-in system computer and Knudsen SounderSuite Software to allow display/control andcollection of all data records both internally and on other network computers.
With twice as much power, and the addition of chirp and correlation processing features, the new 320Mc joins the Chirp series of next generation Knudsen products for sub-bottom, ocean research applications. As well as all standard features of the Chirp series, the new 320Mc also provides a standard built-in 32 grayscale printer equipped with built-in system computer and Knudsen SounderSuite Software to allow display/control and collection of all data records both internally and on other network computers.
The Mini Sounder is a portable, low cost, entry level system ideal for shallow water to mid depth surveys. It is a single channel system that the user can configure to any frequency between 24kHz and 210kHz allowing use in water depths from 15cm up to 2000M +(transducer dependant).
Multiple Mini Sounder systems allow the user the flexibility of having a dual channel system (ex 28/200kHz) on one day for sub-bottom tracking and two single channel systems the next for multiple vessel surveys.
The Sounder 1620 steps in for the 320M Jr as Knudsen's single channel, competitively priced printing echosounder. Is an ideal choice for shallow water projects that require a real time built-in printer and portability. The Sounder is housed in a light-weight splashproof case with wheels and handle that makes it ideal for easy transport to changing project sites and open air environment survey platforms.
The Sounders 1612 and 1614 incorporates the latest in digital signal processing technology and includes Knudsen SounderSuite Windows application software for easy interface to your computer via a USB connection. Available in a 2 or 4 channel configuration, the versatile system is particularly wellsuited to multiple survey roles and includes a wide range of standard shallow water bathymetry and sidescan frequencies.
By the other hand the Sounder 1602 and the 1604, housed in a 3U rackmount case, is ideal for quick installation to a standard equipment rack on your survey platform.
